acromegaly - enlargement of bones of hands and feet and face; caused by
overproduction of growth hormone by the anterior pituitary gland (due to a
tumor)
amyloidosis - a disorder characterized by deposit of a waxy translucent complex
protein resembling starch that results from
degeneration of tissue in organs or
tissues
auscultation - the act of listening for sounds made by internal organs, as the
heart and lungs, to aid in the diagnosis of certain disorders
doxorubicin - an antibiotic used as an anticancer drug
dyspnea - difficulty in breathing
etiology - cause or origin of a disease
morphologic - of, relating to, or concerned with form or structure
neoplasia - the pathological process that results in the formation and growth of
a tumor
tachypnea - rapid breathing
thromboembolism - the blocking of a blood vessel by a blood clot dislodged from
its site of origin
